Description

Utricle bilaterally symmetrical, with 2 opposite shields, each composed of 9 to 13 superficial units radiating from 2 lateral pores. Pores at end of internal canals, generally opening at tip of lateral projections. On 1 or 2 sides, 2 or 3 cells are intercalated between basal cell and lateral pore.
