Description
Apex psilocharoid, with apical spiral endings not enlarged or only slightly enlarged, General shape subprolate, with apex rounded or pointed and base thinner, Gyrogonites unornamented, Size small to medium. [Differs from Amblyochara mainly in size and from Chara by absence of enlargement (or having only minor enlargement) of the apical spiral endings and having fewer convolutions, Piriformachara differs from Mesochara only by its spiral convexity, a character that may depend on the degree of calcification and cannot be alone considered as a generic criterion.]
