Description
Apex psilocharoid, without distinct apical modifications of spirals but with slight enlargement at ends. General shape prolate-spheroidal to subprolate with apex rounded. Spirals smooth. Basal plate thick, the thickness up to twice width, visible or not from exterior. Size small to large. [Retusochara and Peckisphaera have similar apical structures and thick basal plates; plate is sunken in Retusochara but in some species is still visible from the exterior.]
